Buddy's Story
In a nusthell, everybody loves Buddy!
As one of the youngest rescues that was discovered and adopted during the closure of the Marion County Humane Society, Buddy quickly became "famous" in Jefferson when he bolted from his yard the following July 4th, during our town's annual fireworks display.
For over 2 weeks, numerous people in our community searched for him. When he was successfully found and returned to his owners, Angie and Shaggy, they quickly became involved in advocating for "fireworks safety" with regard to pets.
On any given day, Buddy can be found at their local, downtown business, Made in the Shade... greeting customers, collecting ear scratches, and cheesing for pictures. And on May 13, he will be the Grand Marshall for Woofstock... and help kick off our first annual 5K, 1-mile Dog Walk, and Kids' Fun Run that will, henceforth, carry his name.
Come join us for Woofstock and meet Buddy!
